Ben Eine in San Francisco, mapped by White Walls Gallery
Ben Eine has been in San Francisco for his recent show titled ‘Greatest” at White Walls Gallery. While in town, he’s also painting his signature alphabet letters on gates throughout the city. I was very excited to see that Eine has a few more letter styles he’s added to his repertoire. Don’t worry, they still have that Eine signature style of serifs, hashmarks, and color.
If you’re in San Francisco you can use this handy map courtesy of White Walls to track down the street pieces. Make sure you add them to All City for everyone else to check out.
Here’s a look at some of the works he’s created for the show. Images and text by White Walls Gallery.
‘GREATEST’ is an exhibition of new works by artist Ben EINE, utilizing both gallery and public space as a two-tiered platform for the artist’s visual expression. EINE’S work is a large-scale study of the shape and structure of the 26 letters found in the modern English alphabet in varied typefaces, color configurations and word arrangements. In the public spaces of San Francisco, EINE will be painting each letter of the alphabet around the city. A further ten canvases of his work using spray paint, acrylic, and glitter will be on display at the gallery.
